Shirley MansonAlmost always wears blue and black. Wears a vial of zydrate on a simple black suede string around her neck. Live in a small, shabby apartment, and works for GeneCo as a secretary (though she's actually there to seek revenge on the Largo family). Her scars are from a couple years back, when she and her family were attacked by two of the Largo siblings. She was one of Pavi's first attempts at 'face stealing,' during which he actually tried to remove skin from different areas of her body. She was actually one of Bones' first few "patients," and the vial of zydrate she wears is one that he left for her use to numb the pain from her surgery (she learns this later in the story). When the story begins, she has long hair, of which Amber cuts off a large chunk when the two get into an argument at the Masquerade. Shortly thereafter, she meets Bones, who extends an invitation to dance. He later takes her to meet Graverobber and Shilo, recruiting her for their cause.
Relationship with Bones:
At first, Azura views Bones as arrogant and distant. He views a large portion of the population as mere scum, particularly the rich, and even more particularly the Largo family and GeneCo. She soon comes to see another side of him that is childlike in some aspects: despite the tough life he's led on the streets, running from the law and defying the higher powers with almost everything he does, deep underneath, his emotional capacity is similar to that of a child. His lack of development piques her interest, and evokes a sense of duty within her. Unknowingly to her, Bones has already developed a similar interest towards her. His constant exploits of her emotions makes her feel like his plaything, and takes a slight toll on her. During their conversation about how Bones can try to enjoy life more, she's shocked to realize that he's grown fond of her, and upon licking her cheek (at first as a joke), also fond of the way she tastes. This becomes another way he exploits her emotions, but she now understands that it's mere curiosity and intrigue. She finds this endearing, and sees that they can both learn and teach one another new things.
BONES:

Ville ValoThe tape around his stomach does have a reason for being there, so it's not for the look. But the rest of it is. The boots are like hip waders, and they feed up behind his belt and snap for support. He also walks with a slight limp, and almost constantly maintains a lazy posture. When he's "on the job" he wears a black rubbery overcoat and gloves, topped off with a black helmet with a skull-shaped mask. Uses an old set of GeneCo surgical tools and his extensive knowledge of medicine and the human body to perform illegal surgeries on people who
actually need them, for little to no charge. He lives underground, under a seemingly inconspicuous mausoleum. He's working with Graverobber and Shilo to recruit a loyal following (for reasons to be revealed in the story), but he's working from behind the scenes. He happens to meet Azura at the GeneCo Halloween Masquerade, and recruits her for their cause.
Relationship with Azura:
Azura is the first person he's taken the opportunity to grow 'close' to in years. Originally, he recruited her for Shilo's cause because of her potential as a double agent (given her access to GeneCo files), but later becomes interested in her as a person. He believes himself not only physically numb, but emotionally numb as well, until meeting Azura evokes his curiosity. Bones is intrugued by her personality, her attitude, and the innocence she tries so hard to veil. He enjoys surprising and frightening the poor girl, and exploiting her reactions, which he derives a great sense of self satisfaction from. When he speaks to Azura about his difficulty enjoying the things around him (since he lacks his physical sense of feeling, and has for years), she tells him to "Indulge with your other senses: You've still got smell, sight, taste, and sound, right?" Originally intended as a joke, he leans in and licks her on the cheek, telling her that she tastes nice, but it got another of those 'delicious' reactions from her that he just can't resist (thus resulting in him developing a "licking fetish"). Being around her helps to feel the empty 'void' he feels. He sees both her naive and her wise sides, and thoroughly enjoys them, as well as her presence. Bones grows fond of Azura, one of the few good people he feels is left in the world, and thus is very protective of her.
